ZoomProspector Enterprise Sales Executive


GIS Planning is looking for an enthusiastic sales person that is smart, motivated, and hard-working team member eager to learn and execute sales initiatives. An ideal candidate will have some experience in sales, economic development, or small business assistance. The candidate must have a strong desire and aptitude to learn and is committed to achieving and surpassing sales targets as well as strong presentation skills.

The Sales Executive is responsible for selling our ZoomProspector Enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) by achieving sales quotas. The Sales Executive will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories. This individual will develop relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company.

A successful Sales Executive will have the opportunity to grow into a senior position selling higher contract value GIS Planning software services.

Job Duties

  • Conduct a minimum of 10 sales presentations per week.

  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and generate sales from within existing client base.

  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.

  • Generate and develop new customer accounts in assigned territories to increase revenue, often by cold-calling until greater market demand is accomplished.

  • Periodically conduct informational presentations, such as seminars, trade show demonstrations, and other efforts.

  • Stay informed with industry trends and communicate accordingly

  • Maintain accounts, leads and notes data in Salesforce

  • Respond to RFPs, develop proposals, pricing and contracts

  • Identify customer problems, overcome objections, understand customer needs and articulate value propositions


  • Bachelor’s degree, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.

  • Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.

  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, account development, and time and territory management.

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.

  • Exceptional verbal communication, presentation, listening, and written communication skills.

  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity and work ethic.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or passport.


Compensation includes base salary and commission components, giving successful sales executive the opportunity to earn $70K compensation within first year of employment ($40K base and $70K on quota). An exceptional candidate selling more than the sales target can achieve significantly more compensation.


GIS Planning’s sales are operated out of business locations in San Francisco and Tucson, however the candidate may work from any location in the USA including a home office if that is the candidate’s preferences.
