EDF expands website - By David Hendricks (Published 06:05 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012). The San Antonio Economic Development Foundation expanded its Internet site Monday with the addition of the San Antonio Site Locator, which lists available commercial real estate sites and properties.
The site on Monday listed hundreds of properties in “property listings” under the “real estate” tab on the foundation's website, www.sanantonioedf.com.
Business investors can search for properties using category filters, including office, retail, industrial and vacant land. Once a property is selected, additional information appears, including nearby properties, demographics and available incentives, such as tax abatements and tax increment financing zones.
The San Antonio Site Locator is a partnership between the foundation, the city of San Antonio, GIS Planning's demographic and industry data services, and Xceligent, a provider of commercial real estate information.
“Whether you're a small-business owner looking to grow or a multinational corporation scouting for a new headquarters, this new tool will make it easier for potential investors to consider San Antonio,” Mayor Julián Castro said in a prepared statement.
