Community Edition also includes visual analysis of the spatial distribution and concentrations of specific demographic variables geographically.  This type of mapping analysis is called “thematic mapping” or “heat maps.”  This allows a website user to identify optimal locations for their business which can be geographically understood in one glance.  Heat maps combined with the hard-numbers of community specific analysis provides a powerful analytical tool to comprehend both macro and micro spatial analysis related to business site selection.
