GIS Planning has been extremely helpful to us on every occasion. We have reached out to them numerous times with questions and are consistently met with immediate, comprehensive, and thorough solutions. We have also found that our suggestions for changes and improvements are also met with a very welcoming attitude.

Zoom Prospector is our database for available buildings and sites to be stored as inventory and viewed by the state of Indiana as well as visitors to our website. These properties are submitted to the state for attraction projects. We are also able to create project folders that contain multiple properties to send to site selectors and companies who are interested in locating in our area. This tool has been very helpful for internal research for historical and anecdotal patterns for property searches as well as quantifying numbers of properties submitted within zip code, community, incentive district, etc.

The intelligence components are a lifesaver- the RFI's practically write themselves! Also, in researching companies for our Workforce Development project, this tool has proven to be both an effective and efficient method of research in terms of specific companies in a category of business, geographical location, wages, labor force, etc. We often are searching for companies to participate in the training courses we offer on-site in partnership with Purdue. By using the radius tool and drilling down into categories of search, we have been successful at pinpointing companies to contact.

We are constantly looking for ways to make our county stand out with the site selectors we are in contact with as well as growing our communications within that community. This tool is a great way to communicate our message attractively to site selectors.

I love the "Export to Proposal" feature which automatically sends it to our project list. There are so many features I have yet to discover! As a research tool, using this system consolidates the information which reduces the amount of time needed to spend on a research project so there is more time for writing a proposal.

The Map Layers tool has been invaluable especially with regard to incentive zones. With an increased awareness of Opportunity Zones, having them highlighted has been used in a professional capacity locally in an effort to attract investors throughout the country. The interactive map shows not only the zones, but the available industrial properties we profile in our inventory which brings more attention from Site Selectors.

I always recommend to our local partners such as realtors, developers, analysts, etc. that the GIS Planning tools that are on our website are a great way to research any topic that would benefit their business planning. Using the map, the radius selector, and drilling down to the exact information that will be utilized to advantage is all in Zoom Prospector: demographics, labor force, City and County data, wage info. This resource is invaluable and I use it every single work day.
